July lst - Canada Day Activities - sponsorship of the children's parade, float and Lions Express will be in the grand street parade, raffle tickets, canteen

DGO - Members are planning to attend the Summer Cabinet Meeting in Stellarton on July 18th

July 26th - assist the Lawrencetown District Lions and the Kingston Lions with the Port George Jamboree

Aug 1st - Lion Express will be in the Mahone Bay Classic Boat Festival Parade

Aug 1st - pm  LIons Express will be at the Lake Pleasant Campground providing kiddie rides

Aug 02 - assist with the Bonny Lea Farm Lobster Supper

Aug 17-22nd - assist the Lawrencetown District Lions with parking for the Anna County Exhibition

Aug 26th - Camp Lion Maxwell at Camp Kadimah - Appreciation Day (Youth Camp for Diabetics)

Activities :

**Pilot Project** - The New Germany and Area Lions Club are providing FREE baby car seat and stroller sets to all newborns in their catchment area for the next 12 months (Dec2008-Dec2009).  Expectant mothers living in any of the 30+ communities are eligible.  Application may be made through the Public Health in New Germany, OBS clinic at SSRH or by contacting the Baby Car Seat Committee:  Lion Bill Alexander 644-2217; Lion Peggy Carver 644-3325; Lion Nancy Veinot 644-3366    We service the area in the New Germany Bus System as well as East Dalhousie.

*** The Lions Clubs in Zone 9 will be selling raffle tickets on a boat made and donated by John Biebeshier.  All proceeds will be donated to Bonny Lea Farm to assist with special requests for students.  Raffle tickets will be available all day long on July lst.

July lst:  Children's Parade at 9:30am Legion Grounds.  Open to children up to age 12.  Theme: Camping.  No live animals or motorized vehicles.  To register,call Lion Pat at 644-3280
